New Head of David Stool

I have always been dreaming to seat on someone’s else head and thanks to Onur Mustak Cobanli I have this opportunity. According to the designer, his stools are called New Heads of David and they were inspired by Michelangelo’s David sculpture. Would you love to have one?

Swamp Chair Design Idea

A new gem was added to the M2L Collection. I am talking about the Swamp that is an upholstered chair designed by Michiel van der Kley for Artifort.

The main idea behind this chair is to provide maximum comfort and ultimate relaxing experience. The collection consists of 3 chairs – all of them cute, nice and awesome.

The entire Swamp family is made from foam and is upholstered in two contrasting fabrics. I love the feeling when you sit down on this chair – a bit shaky and completely relaxing!

I’ve never thought that industrial upholstery can be cool and nice. Have a look at this project from Gilli Kuchik with Gil Sheffi and Ran Amitai, as to me, their Bakery Studio makes really fantastic upholstery, it looks so creative!

Modern chairs’ design is so unpredictable sometimes and the majority of designers try their best in order to create something completely unique and unusual. For example, this Amber Chair by Jaeuk Jung.

I have never thought how unusual and incredible amber can be. But Korean designer jaeuk jung made a very impressive and heavy chair for us to enjoy. It seems to me that the layers of time are fossilized within the essence of amber…

The chair is very unusual and will definitively make you answer such questions as: “Wow! What is it?”

‘Amber chair’ was on show at Milan design week 2010.

Nemo Chair Shock

Hey, you are about to have a look at one of the most unusual chairs ever – the amazing Nemo chair by Fabio Novembre. This chair looks mind-blowing and so unusual and I am ready too bet this complicated design is not something you should put in a regular patio.

The chair reminds me of exquisite Venice streets and houses …

Frankly speaking, this chair seems to be not the most comfortable one but it looks great!

New Felicerossi

Felicerosa (oh, what a fantastic and eye-pleasing name) is an exquisite and well-done new seating piece from Italian company Felicerossi.

Felicerosa is one of the most beautiful chairs I’ve ever seen. It was designed by Karim Rashid that opens up like a flower.

The chair looks really incredible and very stylish, it comes in a high gloss lacquered finish. The right chair for fashionistas!

FF1 Chair by Fox & Freeze

Sometimes I just wonder how these designers manage to create incredible things out of nothing. I mean it. Have a look at this FF1 chair made by Fox & Freeze from one square sheet of synthetic felt.

The most important issue about the chair – it is made without loss of material and the chair is supported with wood or metal or another material. The whole structure is self-supporting and looks completely unusual.
