Metamorphosis Chair

Today I have met an especially cool and completely unusual metamorphosis chair from a Colorado-based designer Ian Blasco. This chair looks like the one that has been carved from a volcanic rock, don’t you think so?

Ian is a graduate of the furniture design department at the Rhode Island School of Design and he claims that this chair is a hand-made one out of 16 layers of expanded polypropylene foam. I love the way is looks – like a real volcanic rock and at the same time is has nothing common with it.

Also, the chair is rather lightweight and won’t be difficult to move it from one room to another. Love the chair, it can be an amazing attention-getter!
